Village Social has unique features to help you get the most benefit from messaging and sharing.

Social Posts

Sharing via text & email

Choose who can see the post

  • Start your social post by adding media and some text

  • Choose who can see the post

  • People on Village are your connections that receive an alert in Village

  • Other contacts are people you've imported into Village from your device's contact list

When sharing via text or email, the recipient gets a one-time link to prevent forwarding. They can view the post and download the pictures (if enabled) without an account. To comment they need to create an account.

Social post options

On Village, you're in control of your social posts with simple options to customize.

  • Choose 1 of the four expiration options. This minimizes your digital footprint (read more).

  • Choose if you want to allow viewers to download all pictures with 1 click. Easiest way to share photos with your family and friends.

  • Choose if you want to allow comments on the post or prefer direct replies.

  • Choose if you want to save as a memory, which keeps it on the 'heart' tab unless you remove it.

Favorites & Memories

Favorites are media that you've saved from messages and posts. A 1-second hold on the image will add to favorites (except iOS 13 users, a fix is in the works)

Memories are social posts that you've chosen save.

Help friends find you

  • Go to the account page and choose "account"

  • Customize your private information

  • This is also where you add kids or spouse

Note your private information isn't visible anywhere, except when someone searches the exact 10-digit phone number or complete email.
