If you have similar offerings that you would like to configure as independent activities, you don’t have to start from scratch. Instead, you can duplicate an existing activity to save time and maintain consistency.

Duplicate an activity step-by-step

You can duplicate any published, draft, or archived activity by following these steps:

  1. Go to the “Activities” tab.
  2. Locate the activity you want to duplicate.
  3. Click on the ellipsis menu (⋮) next to the activity.
  4. Select “Duplicate”.
  5. Assign a name to your new activity and click “Duplicate”.

Your duplicated activity will appear in the Drafts tab, ready for you to update and publish with new schedules.

What gets duplicated?

The following details will be copied to your new activity:

  • Category
  • Description
  • Location
  • Age range
  • Activity requirements
  • Waiver
  • Label
  • Visibility
  • Photos and videos
  • Registration form
  • Pricing rules
  • Payment plan
  • Cancelation policy

You can edit any of these fields as needed after duplication.

What is NOT duplicated?

Since this is a brand-new activity, it will not include:

  • Schedules
  • Registrations
  • Reviews

Additionally, like any new activity published on Village, it will be reviewed to assess its eligibility for Village’s scholarship program.

When is duplicating an activity useful?

Duplicating an activity is helpful when you:

  • Have a long registration form and want to avoid setting it up again.
  • Use specific pricing rules or payment plans that you don’t want to reconfigure.
  • Have waivers or other settings that you want to carry over.

By duplicating an existing activity with complex configurations, you can quickly adjust only the details that make the new activity unique—saving you time and effort!

If you are not using any of these advanced features and the only changes between activities are date, time, and price, we recommend adding new schedules to an existing activity instead of duplicating an existing one.
